Wooh...Funk Zombie is officially open for bidness. We are still in the process of collecting some ilk to put up. I figure it will be a few days before we have any kind of regular posting schedule set up. Tentative plans are for several writing additions a week. I guess it will depend on how many idiotic things we run into. =)

Today I went to get my hair cut. As I have done for the past 20 years, I went to this same babershop. Originally it was called the Frontier Barbershop, but they moved recently, no clue what the name is now. I don't really care.

The thing that really gets me is the fact that this barber shop (Note: barber shop, not salon) is a real "old-man" barbershop. The guys who cut hair there have been doing it forever. They were all veterans from Korea and Vietnam wars. The walls are covered with pictures from that era. They have an ass load of magazines ranging from Fish and Stream to Forbes. They talk old-men talk. It's great.

The haircuts are good too, which they should be, as they have been doing this for at least 30 or 40 years.

I never went to a salon because I always considered them to be places of great....fru fru. I was not interested in fru fru. I want a haricut without the fru fru. But now that I think about it, all the things that make the barbershop I go to great are probably fru fru in some twisted male kind of way.
